PNA / RPNA Series Aligning Needle Roller Bearings
Aligning needle roller bearings have an outer ring having a spherical outside, within a steel collar. Between these surfaces is also a nylon collar so that the bearing can be automatically aligned. There are two varieties available, one with an inner ring for when the fitting surface is not suitable (PNA Series) – another without an inner ring (RPNA Series).
Self-Aligning Needle Roller Bearing as they are also known have the advantage on being suited when a needle roller bearing is ideally suited, but alignment with the shaft and housing are difficult. It is designed for a press fitting within the housing bore in an appropriate fit.
