Combined Needle Roller and Angular Contact Ball Bearings
Combined Needle Roller / Angular Contact Ball Bearings can take both radial and axial forces in one or both directions.
There are 2 designs, the NKIA series for which the inner ring is a single piece design, or the NKIB series which have a split inner ring and a slightly extended inner ring on the angular contact bearing side.
To support axial forces the axial bearing component must be pre-loaded to 1% of the basic axial load rating. If the bearing design requires axial loads in both directions then the 2 bearings must be adjusted against each other.
